Rob started square dancing in 1978 with the Ichabods square dance club in Fullerton, CA. where Marv Linder was the instructor. There were several couples in Robs beginner class that had asked him to help them practice that week’s lesson; that was the start of his calling career. The results are that Rob has been calling professionally ever since and has gained wide acceptance in the highly competitive Western states. Rob enjoys his calling dates and strives to provide the dancers with danceable choreography and most importantly that necessary ingredient to any dance – SPONTANEOUS FUN!  Rob is a member of the American Callers Association and the former staff caller for the Costal Basin Square Dance Assocation for over 25 years.   Rob teaches and calls through the plus level and is currently the class caller/instructor for the Lake Isabella Dam Dancers of CA.  Rob has been the featured caller for Square dance resorts and Festivals such as; Redwood Country and Kings Valley located in Northern California, the Sun Vista Resort, in Yuma, Arizona, the 39th Annual Valley of The Sun Festival, the Payson Festival, the Cottonwood Festival, the Prescott Festival and many more too numerous to mention here. The well received fun and enthusiasm that Rob brings to his dances keeps dancers coming back for more and is certainly proof positive of all the necessary ingredients a caller needs to make a wonderful evening.
